About
NNKc was built in the late 90’s…
The track has been maintained by members since it was built. Additions to the track have been made over the years, and almost 30 years later, we are still racing on the Stead airport.
The pavement at NNKC was in need of some big repairs. The ultimate goal was to replace all of the pavement at NNKC, but this came with a hefty price tag. Our track repave is now complete, and what a transformation. Thanks to the support of our racing family and generous donors like you, Desert Park Raceway now features a smoother, faster .744-mile, 12-turn circuit built for the next generation of Northern Nevada karting. The results speak for themselves.
The pictures below represent some of the worst parts of the track that needed improvement and some of the amazing transformations that came from our repave.

Even though the repave is complete, we’re not done crossing the finish line. The new surface was a major investment in the future of NNKC — and your support now helps us pay off the remaining cost of the repave so the club can stay strong and community focused. Every dollar goes directly back into the club, no corporate backing, no outside ownership, just racers supporting racers.

At certain donor levels, your support also comes with visibility. Eligible donors can have their logo featured on our website, highlighted on our social media channels, and included in select club communications. Opportunities for promotional materials (flyers, coupons, giveaways) to be displayed or distributed at the track. This visibility places your brand in front of a passionate, loyal racing community and shows your commitment to supporting youth development, family‑driven competition, and the future of karting in Northern Nevada.
