Member work days

Work Days

All members need to complete work days as per the membership requirements. The exception to this requirement is if a member has an executive membership. NNKC is a volunteer based club. The more people that contribute, the better our club is.

What do I do for workdays?
There are so many things that always need to be done at the track, and can be done anytime you are at the track. You can always email the board for some ideas or items that could be done at the track. Some of these include:

  • Trash pickup around the entire facility

  • Weeding the areas around the grid and on the track

  • Painting bleachers/replacing boards

  • Cleaning out registration booth or scoring tower.

  • cleaning out the scale house

What are work days?
These are scheduled days by the Board to get members together and collectively tackle some bigger projects. These projects vary depending on what is needed at the time.

  • Moving hay bales/barriers

  • Light pickup/drop-off for the night race

  • crack seal in pits

  • Painting lines on track

  • Tightening screws on the grid canopy

  • Painting names on pit spots

  • Blow off the track

  • Mow the infield

What happens if I do not show up for work days?
racers will not receive championship awards for he season if they do not complete the work days.

How do I get credit for work days?
Scheduled workdays will have a signup sheet for everyone that participated. For those that are doing work at the track on their own we ask that you post a before and after of the work done on Facebook and TAG the club or email to the board at nnkc.reno.com. For instance trash cleanup, before and after, Replacement or painting of bleachers or parts at the track.
